6 Amazing States You Have To Visit In The USA

If you’ve never visited America before it can be hard to know which states to visit first. With so many to choose from and each different in their own incredible way, the whole process can be pretty overwhelming.

So, whether you’re visiting just one state on a one-off trip or touring across America and visiting as many as you can, here is a handy insider’s list of 6 amazing states you have to visit in the USA:

New York

New York state is probably the most obvious choice for someone has never visited New York before. With the amazing New York City standing proudly on the East Coast, this is a go-to break for America first timers. After all, who can resist the incredible shopping opportunities, amazing food and the history that New York City offers?

California

On the complete opposite spectrum to New York, California is a must visit. On the complete opposite side of the country, this West Coast gem is a place that should be on everyone's list. From palm trees and beaches to Instagramable spots in LA - California is a great choice if you've never visited the states before.

Florida

Again, Florida is another popular destination in America, especially as it is the home to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, Orlando. A great choice for families and those that love a stunning beach, Florida is more than just a trip to Disney

Whilst it is sometimes the main appeal, there are plenty of other activities you can do that don’t involve going to a theme park. So, if you’re looking to stay away from the madness that is Orlando, why not consider the Belmont Inn and Suites Port Richey?

Louisiana

Louisiana is the home of New Orleans, a destination that is popular among music lovers and those who like to party. With incredible bars, a great history and fascinating swamp lands - Louisiana could be a great state to visit on part of a longer trip to the states.

Nevada

The main reason people visit Nevada is for the City of Sin, Las Vegas. With incredible nightlife, rows upon rows of casinos, stunning hotels and all the shopping you could imagine - it really is the place to be if you’re looking for an amazing trip.

Packing Your Bag for a Camping Trip

Packing Your Bag for a Camping Trip

Ask yourself: when was the last time you spent some real quality time in nature? Sure, you might walk your dog around the local lake, or you might spend your lunch break in a park near your workplace, but when’s the last time you actually immersed yourself in the great outdoors?

If you’re itching to delve into the wilderness, camping could well be the best option for your next break or getaway. It is perhaps the most authentic way to get away from the city and experience the wilderness. Now, if this is a plan that you intend to pursue, you’ve got a whole lot of planning ahead of you.

Packing for a camping trip is a little more complex than packing for a standard vacation. If you forget some of the essentials, you can quickly find yourself having a miserable and uncomfortable time, and chances are that you aren’t going to stumble across many shops along the way where you can pick up the essentials later down the line.

So, to help you have the best time possible, here are a few essentials that you should throw into your camping bag!

Appropriate Clothing

Most people will go camping when the weather is preferable, so make the mistake of thinking that they can simply take along lightweight and scant clothing such as shorts, vest tops, and plimsolls. But this isn’t the case. Sure, it may be warm in the day time, but temperatures can quickly drop at night.

You will need to take warm fleeces and full-length trousers to maintain your temperature when it gets a little chilly. You will also need strong walking boots. These can guarantee good grip and prevent injury through stepping on hard or sharp rocks or items.

Defensive Equipment

Depending on where you intend to trek and camp, you may face dangers and require items that provide you with some sort of defense. Seeing as you are going to want to travel as lightweight as possible, it’s generally best to combine practical and defense items in one. Consider tactical pens. These can be used for defense, but they can also be used for marking and making notes as you go along too!

Practical Equipment

There are various practical bits and bobs you should throw into your bag that can help you should you come into trouble. A ferro rod can be used to start a fire, which can then be used for warmth or to cook food. Water purification tablets can clean water if your bottled supply runs out.

Just make sure that you know how to use them properly before you head away, as you may not be able to access the internet to watch tutorials as you go along. It’s also a good idea to pack a first aid kit, which can be used to treat cuts, grazes, or burns.

Packing the above items should help you to have a more enjoyable time while you are away in nature!

One Central Hotel: Downtown Cebu's Premier Business Hotel

When I don't get to travel away from home, I always find a way to have a short staycation anywhere around town or the city. And that's very easy to achieve because there are a number of hotels and Airbnb locations everywhere around here!

Recently, I got the chance to visit One Central Hotel during a few sessions of our #C3Live - a bi-monthly Facebook live session that my org Cebu Content Creators started. One Central is gracious enough to hold our FB Live sesh so we also got to see the hotel's rooms and other amenities.

*Special thanks to Aldrincore for the wonderful photos. Edited by meeee. ;)

The hotel is managed by Bluewater Hospitality, and true enough because it also lives by the word AMUMA - "a Visayan word that means caring, nurturing, tending, feeding. It is also associated with mother’s caring for one’s child, providing the needs for one’s kin or tending to one’s garden to bloom."

One Central Hotel prides itself to be downtown Cebu's premier business hotel destination with affordable luxury accommodations. It's located at Corner Leon Kilat and Sanciangko Streets, Cebu City which is super accessible and convenient because everything you need is just around the corner.

It has 157 elegantly-furnished and fully air-conditioned rooms that make you feel at home whether you're there for business or leisure.

I super love their grand lobby where Cafe Tartanilla is. It's huge and elegant, but still cozy. There's also a great view of the city.
