One Central Hotel: Downtown Cebu's Premier Business Hotel

When I don't get to travel away from home, I always find a way to have a short staycation anywhere around town or the city. And that's very easy to achieve because there are a number of hotels and Airbnb locations everywhere around here!

Recently, I got the chance to visit One Central Hotel during a few sessions of our #C3Live - a bi-monthly Facebook live session that my org Cebu Content Creators started. One Central is gracious enough to hold our FB Live sesh so we also got to see the hotel's rooms and other amenities.

*Special thanks to Aldrincore for the wonderful photos. Edited by meeee. ;)

One Central Hotel Cebu City

The hotel is managed by Bluewater Hospitality, and true enough because it also lives by the word AMUMA - "a Visayan word that means caring, nurturing, tending, feeding. It is also associated with mother’s caring for one’s child, providing the needs for one’s kin or tending to one’s garden to bloom."

One Central Hotel prides itself to be downtown Cebu's premier business hotel destination with affordable luxury accommodations. It's located at Corner Leon Kilat and Sanciangko Streets, Cebu City which is super accessible and convenient because everything you need is just around the corner.

It has 157 elegantly-furnished and fully air-conditioned rooms that make you feel at home whether you're there for business or leisure.

I super love their grand lobby where Cafe Tartanilla is. It's huge and elegant, but still cozy. There's also a great view of the city.

Below is the Molave Grand Ballroom - it's large enough to hold your corporate events and social events, and can also be customized to fit your intimate gatherings too.

Wait for updates because the infinity pool (with a bar) at their roof deck is gonna open soon! Check out their Facebook page or visit their official website to see more of their facilities.

Overall, it was an awesome tour at One Central Hotel - plus points to their friendly and accommodating staff! Thank you One Central. I look forward to my future staycation in your hotel.

This post is contributed by Ellie Jo for Blissful Snapshots. Image By Christopher "Rice" from Pittsburgh, PA, United States of America (DSC_0187) [CC BY-SA 2.0 ], via Wikimedia Commons

If you would like to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city and take the kids somewhere you haven’t been to, Pennsylvania has a lot to offer. From amusement parks to great walks and outdoor centers and museums, you can have a lot of fun if you visit the state. Below you will find a few towns that are known to be family friendly and great for summer vacations.

Pittsburgh

To find everything in one place, you might want to book a vacation in Pittsburgh. You can spend a day exploring the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium and then head to town to try some of the local dishes or explore the amusement parks and kids’ museums. Your kids will love the local specialty, the Poutine, which is basically fries with gravy. You can find so much to do that a couple of weeks will not be enough and you might want to come back later.

Lancaster

You will love Dutch Wonderland and other amusement parks in Lancaster. There is a science museum and loads of parks where you can have a walk. The town boasts with family offers and tours, and you are guaranteed to never get bored. There are plenty of day trip opportunities, such as the Strasburg Railroad and the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum. If you arrive with younger boys, they are going to enjoy every moment of the trip.

Lehigh Valley

By Coasterman1234 at English Wikipedia (Transferred from en.wikipedia to Commons.) [CC BY-SA 3.0 ], via Wikimedia Commons

In case your kids love art and crafts, you must visit Lehigh Valley. Home to the Crayola Experience, they can find out more about how crayons are made, and pick up some new art supplies for home. Other attractions include the National Canal Museum and the Da Vinci Science Center. Of course, there’s plenty to do for adrenaline-hungry kids, too, at the Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom.

Philadelphia

To get the shops, world-famous attractions, and the convenience of public transport, you might want to visit Philadelphia, too. While it is larger in size, you can choose a great child-friendly accommodation in the suburbs. You can find indoor and outdoor playgrounds, science museums, such as the Franklin Institute, and even the first zoo of America. If you are looking for a place to exercise and get fit, visit the Smith Memorial Playground & Playhouse with football fields.

Hershey

One of the underrated travel spots of America, Hershey is a great place to have a chocolate-themed vacation. Visit the Hershey Story Museum to find out as much as possible about the history of chocolate and how the best treats are made. There are also great chocolate tours to go on, and some of them are free. Kids can create their own candy or taste various chocolate while staying in Hershey.

If you would like to visit some of the hidden gems of America, head to Pennsylvania, where you can find great family-friendly attractions and activities. Avoid the crowd and discover some of the best amusement parks, water centers, and zoos in the region on your relaxing vacation.

Licealiz Rolls Out Nationwide Kilusang Kontra Kuto Year 3

As pediculosis capitis or head lice infestation continues to be a concern in public schools in the Philippines, Lamoiyan Corporation’s Licealiz has led the nationwide rollout of Kilusang Kontra Kuto or KKK.

As a part of the mission to create a kuto-free Philippines, Kilusang Kontra Kuto, a coalition of head lice prevention experts and advocates led by Lamoiyan Corporation’s Licealiz, the Department of Education or DepEd, UP Manila College of Public Health, Mommy Bloggers Philippines, and Drugstores Association of the Philippines, was created.

Now on its third year, they want to make its impact bigger and its reach wider in order to eliminate kuto by educating the public about the problem. They will be visiting different schools in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

According to a study conducted by the Department of Education (DepEd) and the University of the Philippines, head lice infestation is still considered as the second most common health problem in public schools in the Philippines next to tooth decay. While it may not be a fatal condition, attention must still be given to this persistent condition which commonly found in school children.

Here are some problems that head lice can cause if left untreated:

It can cause other serious infections.

The surface of our skin is filled with different kinds of bacteria. According to Dr. Arlene Bertuso from University of the Philippines Manila College of Public Health, while lice itself can’t cause infections, “severe scratching caused by allergic reactions to the insects’ saliva can cause the scalp to break, therefore increasing the chance of a secondary bacterial infection.”

It can decrease self-confidence in a child and the parents.
Head lice or kuto often has a negative connotation due to its association with poor hygiene and low social status, which can cause a child to lose confidence, especially around his or her peers. However, the child isn’t the only one affected as the parents can also experience loss of confidence. Parents whose child has been infected with head lice feel embarrassed since they feel like they exhibited poor parenting by letting their child get head lice infestation.
It decreases academic or work productivity.
Itchiness and inflammation are effects from the bites of head lice. The irritation caused by the bites of the head lice can disrupt concentration in school or at work, hence affecting productivity. It can also cause loss of sleep, which can then lead to irritability, short attention span and lack of focus.

In addition to that, “it dramatically affects the school performance of children because of the discomfort and social stigma it causes,” as stated in the study by DepEd and the University of the Philippines.
Misinformation can cause more damage.

Myths and superstitions are already ingrained in Filipino culture and society. Kuto is surrounded by several of these myths and misconceptions that can be harmful to the infested such as the use of mayonnaise or kerosene and wrapping the child’s head with plastic overnight. Contrary to popular belief, lice can also be acquired at any age and by any gender. Incorrect information like these can lead to untreated head lice, which can spread quickly to the whole family or to the whole class simply through physical contact with one infested person.

Head lice is often overlooked or disregarded despite its many negative impacts, but this problem can be solved with correct information and appropriate control methods. Licealiz Head Lice Treatment Shampoo is an effective solution to eliminate and prevent head lice.

Choose These Underrated Travel Spots For Your USA Vacation

Massachussetts

This post is contributed by Ellie Jo for Blissful Snapshots.

When you think of a vacation in the USA, you probably think of the Hollywood hills of Los Angeles, the well-trodden streets of New York City, the majesty of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and old big ears himself, Mickey Mouse, dazzling young and old at Disneyworld in Orlando.

Wonderful places all, but there is more to the USA than the usual tourist spots, so if you’re planning a visit to America any time soon, perhaps you should look for those under the radar places that are definitely worth a visit. We have listed a few of them here, so after you have climbed the Empire State Building, shaken hands with Mickey and Donald (Duck, not Trump), and caught a glimpse of the Hollywood razzle-dazzle, add some of these destinations to your holiday itinerary.

Visit the state of firsts, and if you are unsure where we are talking about, then you probably haven’t been here before. We are talking about Massachusetts, one of the most underrated states in the US, and that’s surprising. Sports lovers should be interested to know this was the place where basketball and volleyball were invented.

Foodies might like to know Dunkin’ Doughnuts originated here. And perhaps more importantly for smartphone addicts, you need to know this is the place where Alexander Graham Bell first demonstrated the telephone.

There’s a first time for everything, so when you have finished gawking at the Statue of Liberty, jet over to this great state - check here for how to fly from New York to Massachusetts by private jet - and enjoy the incredible beach paradise of Cape Cod, engage with the history of the Boston Tea Party, visit the picture postcard villages that inspired Norman Rockwell, and spend time relaxing on the idyllic island of Martha’s Vineyard.

*Maine Fishing Village - Photo credit

Overcome your fear of Maine, as no matter how many Stephen King books you have read using this state as their location, there really aren’t any clowns hiding under drain covers, or vampires taking root in tiny towns. Still, if you are a lover of the horror author, you may want to visit some of the locations made famous in his works of fiction, and if you head over to Bangor, you may even meet the great man yourself.

There are other reasons to visit Maine, of course. The state is an outdoor mecca, with acres of forestland to explore, unspoiled lakes to bathe in, and mountain hikes aplenty. Entwine yourself in the ebb and flow of the small fishing communities, walk through the charming streets of Portland, and if you visit in the winter, know that Maine contains premiere peaks for snowboarders and skiers. You see, no matter what Stephen King has told you, there is nothing to worry about on your visit to Maine, and despite his tales of horror, this is truly a relaxing place to be.

---

Know that Utah is anything but boring. Unfairly stereotyped for having baron deserts and dull landscapes, the truth is anything but. Monument Valley’s sandstone mesas are more likely to encourage oohs and aahs than bored whispers. The Bonneville Salt Flats are perfect for artists and photographers with its dazzling white plains and magnificently coloured skies.

There is much to explore, whether you traverse some of the longest canyons in the world, kayak along Lake Powell’s gigantic oasis, or mountain bike along Salt Lake City’s diverse paths and trails. And if you fancy a taste of Hollywood? Who needs LA, when you have one of the greatest film fests in the world, the wonderful Sundance Film Festival. Catch the brightest and best of today’s talented directors and performers with some of the best independent cinema has to offer.

There’s all that, plus the grand heritage of Native American culture, white water rafting across the incredible riverscape, and 185 million-year-old dinosaur footprints at the dinosaur quarries in Kanab. Boring? Never use that word again, unless you actually are boring into the historically rich landscape.

*Beautiful Wisconsin - Photo credit

It’s not all cheese and dairy in Wisconsin, despite its reputation for agriculture and farming. Remove from your mind the relaxed overtones the state suggests, and think thrills and spills instead. The state has the country’s biggest waterpark, there is much scope for outdoor adventures amongst the hills, lakes, caves and mountains, and the wildlife is breathtaking to behold.

You are guaranteed to see at least one bald eagle if you climb the peaks. And if you’re a party animal (or just a music lover), then you have to visit Summerfest, the world’s biggest music festival! And yes, Wisconsin is home to the world’s smelliest cheeses, and you can indulge in a smorgasbord of tastes at the farmers markets, but there is so much more to the state than cheese curds!

So, we hope we have whetted your appetite for those parts of America that are often overlooked by modern tourists. Let us know what you think, and if you know of any other underrated places around the US, be sure to let us know!

Panorama Holiday: West Coast Sailing

With a total of 2,448 miles, Route 66 is one of the most iconic tracks across the United States. Countless songs, films, and books tell the tales of this extraordinary journey through the country, like an explorative immersion through history, time, and also a lesson of self-discovery. But if you’re after an adventure that takes you through a variety of landscapes, challenges and wildlife, you need to give up your drips of a road trip.

Instead of driving miles, take a look at nautical miles, the distance between Seattle and Mexico matches almost in nautical miles the mileage of the infamous Route 66. If time isn’t an issue – you need to have more than a couple of days off, you should be looking at a few weeks to sail and visit, which could be ideal for a late summer break – you should consider a west coast sailing holiday that will take you back to the route of former trade sailors.

From Seattle To Mexico

While the east coast of the U.S. gives you plenty of tropical islands — just south of Florida for instance with the Bahamas and Cuba to name but a few–, accessible little nooks and plenty of shallow water, the sailing conditions on the Pacific side are entirely different. Miles of exposed cliffs and the absence of small harbors between the major ones make up for an adventurous route that brings you closer to the elements

Be warned that this will not be an easy time, but you will love to get to understand the seak the wind and the rocks as you sail. It is a challenge for someone who has found their sea legs; otherwise you might not enjoy the journey. The views between Seattle and Mexico are magnificent, and you can definitely remember the feeling of freedom of a road trip when you feel the wind in your hair.

You don’t have to be an expert

Don’t worry about sailing a boat in challenging conditions. While the Seattle to Mexico route is one of the least accessible at first, you can hire a team of professional sailors with a Yacht charter, so that there is nothing to worry about. For long trips, it’s best to hire the services of experts to accompany you safely to your destination.

However, if you want to learn how to sail a boat, you can also take lessons ahead of the departure so that you can sit down with the sailing team and have a chat about what they do, how and why they do it. It’s a great way of learning more!

Stop and make memories on the way

A sailing vacation doesn’t mean that you can’t take regular breaks and visit cities on your way down to Mexico. San Francisco is an obvious stop, and you can even spend a night in town. You should also spend a couple of days in San Diego if you need to relax on a sandy beach before heading back onto the Pacific. You can kill some time in the zoo too, as you can be sure that you’ll be seeing only sea life once you’re back on the boat.

In short, if your family is ready for an adventure, sailing the west coast down to Mexico can give you all the exciting and breathtaking views you dream of. A word of warning, though: It’s not a vacation for you if you haven’t found your sea legs!

Keeping Your Promises with Sun Life Financial

Sun Life Financial

Relationships are built on promises: the promise to love, to care, to secure, to protect, and to provide. This is something that Piolo Pascual knows all too well, committed as he is to the promises he has made to his family as a son, a sibling, and a father.

But when financial troubles arise, bringing such promises to life becomes a challenge.“Like any other person, I want to give my family the best life possible. I am a man of my word, that’s why I work  hard and seize every opportunity that comes my way,” Piolo said.

“But more than just earning money, it’s how you manage your finances that makes a difference.

Fortunately, I have the guidance and help of one very special lady: my very own sister, Chiqui Pascual-Gonzales, who also happens to be my Sun Life Advisor.”

According to Piolo, Chiqui has been instrumental in ensuring that his dreams for his family will all come true. “It’s a partnership through and through. With her help, I’ve been able to make it all happen while still pursuing my own passions and advocacies,” he said.

Piolo and Chiqui’s story is but one of many in Sun Life Financial, where lifetime partnerships are developed and nurtured through the years. In fact, this has inspired Sun Life’s latest campaign, at the forefront of which is a new TV commercial highlighting Sun Life’s presence in a client’s life throughout the different stages of her life. It represents the many promises that Sun Life has helped bring into fruition for the past 123 years of its existence.

Sun Life hopes that the campaign, as well as Piolo’s own story, will inspire more people to take the same path in their financial journey. “As the longest-standing life insurance company in the Philippines, we have witnessed many promises being fulfilled throughout the years and have served generations of clients. It is an honor for us to serve all our clients and help them secure their future and those of their loved ones” Sun Life Chief Marketing Officer Mylene Lopa said.

“The promises we make to our loved ones are sacred, and Sun Life knows this. That’s why it’s committed to helping its clients achieve their goals, no matter what happens,” Piolo said. “You can’t ask for a better lifetime partner than that!”

Seeing The World In A Different Way: Off The Cuff Ideas And Where To Find Inspiration

*This post is contributed by Ellie Jo for Blissful Snapshots.

As someone who has traveled extensively, and as I help so many wonderful people plan very special trips, I can understand the real need to start seeing the world differently these days. The world is no longer the big place that we used to imagine it was many years ago. We can travel from one side to the other in a day, we can explore unspoilt islands and beautiful places easier than ever before, and because of that, more people are wanting to be a little more adventurous with their travel plans.

So if you find yourself in a bit of a conundrum of how to spend your vacation, and want to avoid the standard resort with a beach and hotel pool to enjoy, then here are some of the ways you could see the world a little different and some of the places I think you can find inspiration to help you do it.

Read blog posts and articles

One of the best things to do when you have a destination you want to see in mind, but not really sure on where to go, what to do, or how best to experience it, is to look online. These days there are so many blogs, such as my own, full of wonderful insights and information about many different locations. These are people talking about real experiences, which often means you are getting the facts and the information you want to know. They can be an excellent resource and also be full of inspiring ideas.

Use social media like Instagram

We can all use social media for different things, but in actual fact, the main use of it would be to be a wealth of information, up to date news and advice. So use the platforms in this way. Searching a location as a hashtag on the likes of Twitter and Instagram will bring up an array of posts. Some might be linking to articles; others like Instagram posts, sharing pictures, tips, and advice.

Go against the normal mode of transport

Most of the time when it comes to booking your vacation, you consider grabbing your passport and jumping on a plane, but there are other modes of transport you could consider. The road trip is fast becoming a new way to explore, especially when it comes to the country you live in. Having the right equipment in your vehicle, an awnings added to your vehicle maybe so that you can take advantage of good weather and scenery, places like 4WD Supacentre and loading up the boot with camping gear.

It could be that you like the idea of sailing off into the sunset, and so more people are choosing to arrive in different countries by cruise ship or boat. If you look around, there are many ways you can get somewhere, and although a plane can be fast and easy, is it really your only option?

Finally, my only other tip would be to consider seeking advice from experts, planning and researching a lot, and also consulting your own bucket list for destination ideas. After all, there is a reason why we mentally bookmark those places, isn’t there?

Dear Diary 004: GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUNDS

Sun Life Financial Philippines

Uhm, yup. I mean NOT just girls for sure. Everyone wants to have funds.

A lot of people say that money is the root of all evil. We hear that quite a lot. But I guess now we also already know that our attitude, behavior, and how we deal with money directly impacts how that money works in our lives.

Ever since I started legit working at the age of 20, I've always wanted to save. But I've never really saved enough, and if you've read my previous Dear Diary blog post, you'll probably remember I mentioned that I want to save more this year and the years to come. It's never too late but it may be if I don't start now! I plan to do this by avoiding impulse buying and by living a more sustainable lifestyle.

I've also mentioned that I've already deleted all shopping apps on my phone and have unsubscribed from all shopping email newsletters to avoid temptations and impulse purchases. So far, it has been successful - 50% OFF? 70% OFF? Nada. Whew, pat on the back for not giving in.

I also told myself that I'm going to take advantage of any kind of education I can get about my finances - especially if it's free. So I attended the Let's Have Some Funds activity last Sunday courtesy of Sun Life Financial Philippines. This is not the first time I have attended their activity. Every time I attend, I always take away something new, and something to validate my financial decisions in life.

Sun Life Financial Philippines

There were three sessions and I particularly chose to attend the second one with the topic GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUNDS. I felt so connected with the speaker, Ms. Kathryn Dawn Sy, even though I haven't really met her in person before and it's the first time I've heard of her. She's such a breath of fresh air and I have to admit that at one point during her talk, I was teary-eyed.

She is only 28, already has successful businesses, and has savings. I felt goosebumps because what she shared was something that I would want to do for myself and with my life; probably would have wanted to do many years back but wasn't able to because I didn't have the business idea in mind. My mindset was work work work work work.

I've only started having a business mindset recently - something that can make an impact on people's lives and something that can hopefully grow my savings account and passive income as well.

To share with you the things I've learned from the talk, I will highlight the ones that I think really stood out and resonated with me.

  • Measure every peso. Put a name to every peso you spend. - It's crazy because I've been doing this ever since and I thought that I'm just being too OC with it. I have come to realize that knowing where your money goes is a wise thing to do because you will know which part of your lifestyle you should adjust.
  • Don't just be a dream girl. DREAM, girl! - This means taking action. When you dream, it shouldn't just stop there. You should immediately create your action steps to achieve your goals and your dreams.
  • Be a GOAL DIGGER. - Proud #GoalDigger here. ;) It's true, nothing great comes easy. You have to work hard for it. You will fail but you will get back up, move forward, and realize that success is not a one-time thing. It's continuously evolving as long as you are alive and breathing.
  • Find the MEANS to have funds, know how to MANAGE those funds, DISCERN or recognize what you want to achieve, and ACCELERATE or keep your funds moving and growing.

For me personally, I will continue to work hard on my dreams by taking action every day. I will invest in worthwhile experiences and investments. I will hustle, save money, and spend the rest on what my family and I need (and sometimes want), while at the same time pursue my passion and do what I love without feeling guilty.

TRAVEL FUNDS

How do you plan to have fun while still having FUNDs? Or perhaps the other way around - how do you have FUNDS while still having FUN? :)

How To Enjoy New York City In 11 Streets

How To Enjoy New York City In 11 Streets

*This article is contributed by Ellie Jo for Blissful Snapshots. Photo by Chris Schippers from Pexels

“11? But New York is huge. There’s no way to have a good time at such a small number of streets.”

Are you sure? NYC is home to about as many sights and attractions as there are in one city. Maybe London comes close but America has always done things on a bigger scale than the Brits. Anyway, the point is that there’s a lot to do and restricting a visit to eleven streets seems foolish.

The thing is, there is so much to do that if you choose correctly you can fit in an array of sights and sounds. And, if you miss a few, at least you get to see “real” New York.

Time Square

Time Square is probably at the top of the list of world-famous New York attractions. When you think about it, it is some feat because there’s plenty of competition. Still, year after year, tourists flock there like they are going to be a part of a movie. Located on 42nd Street, it’s a fantastic place to start a trip and take in the scenery. Stand in the middle and try and comprehend the size of the skyscrapers as well as the crowds. Then, wander into a restaurant and pay over the odds for a burger and a beer. Perfect.

The Al Hirschfeld Theater

Approximately three blocks up on West 45th Street is the Al Hirschfeld Theater. Now, more charming and more famous buildings exist. In fact, we’ll visit another one in this post in a short while. However, what sets this out from the rest is what lies inside. For the rest of the summer and beyond, the Al Hirschfeld Theater will host Kinky Boots musical. The show brings together the working-class life with a splash of the big time, as well as Cyndi Lauper’s greatest hits. Considering it’s less than five minutes away, it’s well worth a visit.

Rockefeller Center

Almost everyone wants to go to the top of the Empire State. Maybe they think they’ll spot King Kong, or perhaps they are drawn by the history. Regardless, anyone who has scaled the Rockefeller Center will know that it’s the better skyscraper. Not to judge, but the view out over Central Park is stunning. Spanning over 3 km squared, you can get a scale of the size and beauty from the Top of the Rock. Plus, it isn’t as busy with tourists looking to snap away until their digital camera breaks. If staying inside is your thing, tickets for the “Tonight Show” are available.

The MOMA

MOMA stands for the Museum Of Modern Art. Standing on 53rd street, it has a collection of artwork that is almost difficult to believe. Lovers of art will likely compare it to the Tate Modern in London or the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. But, those who think it’s pretentious will love the vivid colors and the creativity. For example, the MOMA has a Picasso exhibition as well as some of his most famous works.

What do you think now? Is it possible to have a great time on eleven streets?

Bluewater Sumilon Island Weekend Getaway

Bluewater Sumilon Island

Sumilon Island was such a breath of fresh air to me. I haven't gone away from home for quite some time after my vacation in my hometown. I've been slumped with work and been working pretty hard on my YouTube channel that it just seemed proper to go on a quick island getaway to relax.

Bluewater Sumilon Island
*This is the Sumilon Port  - the island you can see is Sumilon Island. It takes about 15-20 minutes by boat to get there. :)

It was such a blessing that Bluewater Sumilon Island hosted us, Cebu Content Creators, during our first anniversary! Cebu Content Creators is an independent organization of bloggers, video creators, and social media creators that my blogger friends and I started last year with the aim to Create, Connect, and Collaborate.

*There are 30 of us! But only 12 were able to go.

This year, it's been an honor for me to take over the leadership of the org as its chairwoman. I know I have so much on my plate. I guess my org mates know that too! Lol. But I took the responsibility to lead this year in the hopes of keeping our humble org alive and to continue our mission and vision. More to come on that, but first, let me show you how beautiful Sumilon Island is! ♥

I just used my phone to take photos. I also don't have much time to edit so I just did the usual editing of brightness and contrast, and I had to resize too so my blog won't blow up.

The water current was a little bit strong (and usually it really is) that there were splashes of water along the way. If it's your first time, it might be a bit scary for you. It was my first time to go to Sumilon Island but it wasn't my first time to do island hopping so I was fine.

What I liked though was that wearing a life vest was required! Many islands in the country do not put this into priority. Accidents happen so it's best to have preventive measures, so kudos to Bluewater!

We arrived at the island at around 10:00 AM, had a quick brunch, then went trekking. It was pretty hot that time butttt the view was super worth it! I'd gladly stay longer.

There was a natural lagoon where guests can go fishing, fish feeding, kayaking, and pedal boating.

We walked through the woods following the moderate trekking trail with a free guide. You can also opt to take the beginners trail or the advanced one.

The fresh air, the sound of the waves, the clear water, and the feeling of just being away for a while was relaxing.

After trekking, we had a villa tour.

It was almost lunch when we visited the villas - so we went directly to the glamping area to have our boodle feast courtesy of Bluewater Sumilon! It was indeed a feast of seafood and good food. Until now, I can still remember it. Haha

I'm gonna have to try glamping next. The tents are cute and the area is directly in front of the beach so what more can you ask for? Let's not forget that the staff is super accommodating and friendly too!

This was me taking photos inside the tent. Sariling sikap bes! :D

But wait there's more - we moved on to snorkeling after checking out the glamping tents. After that, we went to their famous sandbar and played with the big, strong waves. I guess the sandbar part was my favorite! It was also the part where I didn't bring my phone anymore so no videos and photos, except for this one that my friend Aldrin took. ♥

Bluewater Sumilon Island

It was an ultimate escape to paradise but we only spent a day in the island - actually just a few hours because some of us had to go back to the city early. We had the best time though, especially with the boodle lunch prepared for us by Bluewater Sumilon!

There are many things you can do in the island. If you are an adventurer or even if you just want to chill and do nothing, Sumilon is a wonderful escape. Check out more of their adventures on their official website - www.bluewatersumilon.com.ph.
