The thing that makes Singapore a photographer’s dream is the contrast between its cultural heritage and modern life; here you can find Hindu temples backing onto luxury condos, sophisticated cocktail bars with the jungle as their backyard.

Everything about Singapore is unexpected and unique. Singapore is, without a doubt, one of the world’s most Instagrammable destinations. Not only does it offer some of the world’s most unique scenery and cultural sights, but also some of the most incredible food, both in terms of how it’s presented and how it tastes.

Being such an incredible place, it can be somewhat overwhelming when it comes to choosing the best sights to explore. The fact that it’s such an Instagrammable country makes selecting just a few places to see while you’re in Singapore a little tricky.

After all, you don’t want to miss anything, do you? So, where should you go and what should you do?

If it’s Singapore’s natural sights that interest you, then both the Gardens by the Bay and Singapore Botanic Gardens should be on your radar. Singapore may be heavily built up, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not home to some amazing greenery.

Visit Singapore Botanic Gardens and spend some time wandering through areas of lush rainforest while still in the heart of the city. Its bright, beautiful trees and plants will make amazing photos because they’re like nothing you’ll ever see anywhere else on the planet.

As for the Gardens by the Bay, this incredible green space is made up of three waterfront gardens, complete with iconic and unique lighting. The pretty purple lighting makes the space a photographer’s dream and is most definitely Instagram worthy.

Whether you’re a foodie or not, if you want an Instagrammable (and memorable) trip, you have got to take the time to try some authentic cuisine. Singapore is home to a combination of cultures, meaning that there are dishes from all over the world on offer here. For authentic Chinese food, visit Chinatown, for Indian or Nepalese food, visit Little India - Singapore is made up of quadrants, each serving a different type of cuisine.

There are restaurants, like Restaurant Andre, that serve the most incredible dishes. There are cafes, like Cedele Bakery Cafe, that serve the most delicious treats. There are bars serving snack foods and fancy five-star restaurants to choose from - Singapore has it all when it comes to food. Best of all, the dishes are always well presented, making them totally Instagrammable.

For culture:

Thanks to its Hindu heritage, Singapore is home to some of the world’s most incredible temples. These temples are very similar to those found in India and focus on the same gods, complete with intricately carved sculptures in the doorways. There are various temples that you can visit and explore while here, including Sri Mariamman Temple in Chinatown, Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, and Sree Maha Mariamman Temple.

As well as an array of unique temples to explore and photograph, Singapore is also home to some incredible art galleries, one of which - Riz-Carlton - is actually a hotel that’s packed full of interesting pieces of art, including pieces by Andy Warhol and David Hockney. There’s also the Asian Civilisations Museum to explore, that’s home to some of Asia’s most iconic pieces of history.

Singapore is an incredible country, packed full of culture, nature, and amazing food, making it the perfect place for anyone with a love of photography and a passion for adventure.
