How To Have The Most Incredible Holiday!

If you’ve got a holiday planned, then you’ll want to make it one of the best experiences you’ve ever had. That’s what holidays are for! However, a few things can make your holiday less exciting, such as not feeling very confident in yourself and even coming on your period. Use these tips to make sure you have the most incredible holiday.

Work On Your Self Esteem And Confidence

If you feel like you’re going to struggle in a bikini by the pool or on the beach, take some time to work on your self esteem and confidence in the time leading up to your holiday. This is more about your mental state, than the way you look. You can look and feel absolutely beautiful whatever your size and shape if you only get into the right mindset.

Start giving yourself compliments regularly. Pamper yourself as often as you like. Repeat positive affirmations and focus only on positive self talk. You could even go to the gym to get that natural high feeling, but don't let it take over your life. Loving yourself regardless of your size and shape is crucial. Never starve yourself before a holiday in an effort to lose weight either. This is going to make you feel much worse. Instead, eat healthy, satisfying meals.

If you’re not too worried about how you’ll look, but you know something is going to affect how you’ll feel, there are things you can do. For instance, how annoying is it when you go on holiday and come on your period? You can actually get tablets to delay your period, if you’re worried. Try to stay focused on the good times and keep things in perspective while you’re away.

Start Saving As Early As Possible

To have a great time, you don’t always need a lot of money. However, saving up in advance will ensure you can do everything you want to do. Having a little bit more than you need is always better than not having enough. Putting a small amount away each week is a good idea. Set a target for how much you’d like to take with you and do the math!

Get Insurance

Insurance isn’t one of the most fun things to think about when you’re going on holiday. However, it’s the smartest thing to do. It’s going to give you peace of mind, and protect you should anything go wrong. Make sure you get a good level of cover, especially if you’re planning on jumping out of a helicopter or something like that! Buying the cheapest level of cover gives you more to spend on luxuries, but it likely won’t be sufficient enough to protect you.

Keep Valuables At Home

Taking your valuables on holiday can be tempting. You might want your iPad to browse the web on the beach, or your fancy jewelry to dress up in at night. But you should consider keeping your valuables at home. How would you feel if they were lost or stolen? Insurance may be able to replace them, but it’s going to be inconvenient. Losing sentimental stuff will be really upsetting too!

Buy Some Outfits You Feel Great In

Buy a few outfits you can feel great in, whether you’ll be at a pool party or eating out at night. Treat yourself. Holidays aren’t always a regular occurrence, and new outfits will help you feel amazing. You don’t need a suitcase full of new stuff, but a few treats is always a good idea!

Release All Expectations And Live In The Moment

Before you go away, work on releasing all expectations for the trip and living in the moment. If you expect things to go a certain way, you might end up disappointed if you run into hiccups. Not only that, failing to live in the moment means you’re not fully taking everything in and enjoying yourself.

Try not to think about work, or what’s going on at home. Try not to worry about things that haven’t even happened yet, like so many others do. Instead, focus on where you are and what you’re doing right now. You’ll feel much better! If you do this, the holiday shouldn’t feel like it flies by either. You can make it last a little longer and retain your memories better.

Use these tips and you’ll have an amazing holiday. You may only get one every so often, so be sure to make the most of it if you have one coming up. Leave your own thoughts and ideas below!
