A Day Before Christmas

As I'm writing this, it's already the morning of the 24th. A day before Christmas. And I can't even begin to explain how happy I am to be in the best place I can ever think of this season. My hometown!
This place where I grew up. Here in our house. Technically, my parents' house but still my home, of course. I love our home. As always, it's peaceful and the Christmas breeze is perfect! We live a mere 15 minutes away from downtown so I love that it's still very accessible and convenient.

This is the longest vacation I've ever had so far and all I want is to share it with family and friends. We left Cebu last Friday morning. Thankfully, no tantrums from Reiko. No flight delay. It was raining really hard the night before while I was still at work and until early morning on our way to the airport.
I was a little worried that our flight might get delayed or worse.. cancelled. Ugh, I wouldn't be able to fathom another cancellation had it happened. Everything went well though.
Saturday was my little sister's 18th celebration! I was born on December 7 and she was born on December 13 after 8 years. She's a Friday The 13th baby and you know what they always say about kids born on a Friday, and the 13th? They're unlucky! But who's to say that? For us, she's a lucky one. And that's why we nicknamed her Lucks, short for Lucky!
Yesterday, I had a mini-reunion with my high school best friends and one of them I haven't seen in like 6 years!! We met at Starbucks and when we saw each other.. just try to imagine.. we were screaming! Hahaha. But everything still felt like the good old days, it actually seemed like we just saw each other the other day.

I will be busier for the next few days, with reunions and weddings to attend, parties here and there, but I know that when I get back here, I mean the blog.. I will always reminisce. It's not all the time that I get to have this kind of vacation because of the kind of job that I have. And by the way, I'm done reading The Fault In Our Stars and something I'll never forget is... the world is not a wish-granting factory.

More photos soon!!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!! Can't wait to read your holiday stories! :)
