Social Media Marketing Bootcamp for Professionals

Ever since I started working online, I’ve been on the lookout for relevant ways to add value to my job as a content specialist. After all, I chose this job and so far, I’m happy with it. When I heard about the Social Media Marketing Bootcamp for Professionals, I immediately checked it out and see whether it would be a good fit for me. And it turned out to be really meaningful!
I’ve always believed that one of the best investments you can make in your lifetime is yourself. Learning other ways to improve your craft and being better at what you do is an excellent personal goal. So I told myself that joining the Social Media Marketing Bootcamp is going to be a great learning investment for me.
The Social Media Marketing Bootcamp is for professionals who want to improve their online presence by building an effective and engaging brand voice. In today’s 24/7 world, most of the people are making their presence known through social media to showcase what they have to offer like their businesses, products, services, and even personal advocacies and goals.
Aside from building your brand, the bootcamp can also help you measure social media success, optimize your social media strategy based on data-driven insights, as well as identify the best social media tools for your business, and eventually be able to drive revenue using these social media channels.
During our first session last Saturday, we talked about foundational knowledge about social media, social media success or knowing which industry we are aligned to, hacks that we should use before venturing and using social media, social media optimization or the secrets of highly successful social media accounts, as well as building authority through blogging.
After each module, we also had discussions to apply what we have learned and some examples and exercises to further illustrate our talking points. It helped that the bootcamp has a limited number of participants because it made way for a more productive and interactive discussion. There were about 10 of us during the session.
The discussions helped me understood my role as a blogger, as a professional who uses social media as a tool to build my brand, and who I am as an influencer.
I’ve also learned the value of building my own community (I will do this soon) and reaching out to other people who share the same passion and advocacies as mine, not just in Cebu but also to other parts of the world.
Sometimes I am really hesitant to build my brand online because I think that I’m never going to have as many followers as other popular bloggers or influencers. Despite having a positive outlook in life, sometimes I fail to acknowledge that I also have skills to improve and work on.
But I think that I can have my own success story too and that building my brand doesn’t happen overnight. It takes hard work and dedication.
Our speaker and instructor, Mr. Ruben Licera Jr. who was really a subject matter expert, told us that we shouldn’t worry about those people who will try to stop us from achieving what we want. It's true and I think that before we can achieve something, we really have to start believing in ourselves.
