[July Challenge] Radiate Happiness
July 13, 2016
I feel like dead meat when I reach my holy hour, wherein I find myself just staring at the computer screen when I should be writing for work. You guys, writing for a living is never easy! That's why for the sake of my sanity, I decided to blog right now without really anything in mind.
After all, this is still my personal blog and from time to time, I'd like to take a bit of rest from my fun and food posts and just talk about random things in life. I thought I wanted to share about this month's The Giving Journal challenge which is about gratitude.
"Everyday, find something you are grateful for. Post it on your Instagram or Facebook page, send yourself an email, or write it in this Giving Journal - it's up to you how you want to do it! Radiate positivity and witness how it extends into your relationships. Cultivate the habit of recognizing happiness everywhere."
I am still a firm believer of what has been said - happiness is when you stop complaining about the things you don't have and start being grateful for the things you do have. It's difficult to choose happiness when you aren't thankful and appreciative of the things around you, whether big or small.
With all the things I've been through emotionally and mentally (you most likely don't know what those are because I have A++ rating at keeping secrets and showing people I'm perfectly okay even when I'm not, LOL), one of the very best things that keep me going in life is to look around me and be thankful of what I have.
An attitude of gratitude is a common topic and thus often talked about, but I'm not sure if it's always put into action. In my case, it seems like I have an invisible shield that acts as a force to shoo away the negativities of the world. I'd say I'm still one heck of a hopeful girl in a big, big world.
I also think that when you are grateful, the people around you - family, friends, loved ones, and those who support you - find that being grateful is what they should practice too. Gratitude and happiness are both spread to every imaginable or unimaginable place.
Simple concept - or maybe not, but I hope it is. So thank you to you who are reading this, for being here and for spending some time in my little slice of heaven. ;)
A gratitude challenge is not new to me. In fact, one of the things I set forth to do at the start of the year is to list down all the things I'm thankful for. I do it every end of the week and yup, until now. I always write my gratitude list on my journal. I also have a post about that last year.
Aside from the usual people and things I'm thankful for like family, friends, safety, good health, and my job, here are the top 7 things on my gratitude list recently.
What's on your gratitude list? Share away!
